Here is my most recent Plein Air Wave, painted at New Brighton Beach in Capitola, along with a peek at my sketchbook from that day. I typically go here at least once a week to paint. I will be releasing a series of these titled ‘Waves and Reflections’ in conjunction with the launch of the Virtual Art Network of Santa Cruz, which I’m honored to be a part of this year. Allison Haley is an artist, designer, and dance teacher from Santa Cruz, CA. She creates modern, abstract landscape paintings and water scenes inspired by living in California, the southwest, and growing up in New England.
Allison’s other passion is dance, and she loves sharing this by teaching weekly Tropical Dance & Zumba classes, and by performing locally in Santa Cruz.
